The oldest group at Demeter is treated as what they are: young artists. Sessions in this group go deeper into both the technical and the conceptual — what is this work about? What are you trying to do, and is the material serving that intention? How do you develop an idea across multiple sessions, rather than arriving at a finished piece each time?
Students work across drawing, painting, digital, and mixed media. They are encouraged to develop a body of work over a term rather than isolated pieces — building the habits and the confidence of a genuine studio practice. The conversation in the room is real.
Weekend mornings. All materials provided. Ages 14–17. Limited spaces per term.
