For anyone who wants to draw, whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time or have been drawing for years.
This is an open, exploratory drawing class for all levels. Each 2-hour class stands on its own, so you can come for one class or join us throughout the autumn season.
Everyone works at their own pace, with individual guidance from the teacher. Beginners can learn the fundamentals step by step, while more experienced participants can deepen their practice, experiment with new techniques, or pursue their own work.
We’ll explore observational drawing, sketching, mark making, scale, proportion, materials, and other techniques that can make drawing more intuitive and expressive. Each session introduces a focus, such as a technique, a question, or a material, for students to explore.
There are no prescribed outcomes and no pressure to keep up with the group. Join a small, intimate group of people at different stages and with different backgrounds, each following their own curiosity through drawing.
